The RE/MAX of New England November Monthly Housing Report indicates that Vermont experienced a boost in total transactions, up 7.2 percent, while median price fell -2.3 percent year-over-year. Pending sales were up 26.8 percent year-over-year.In the New England region, while home sales are seasonally slowing, median prices are up by 2.6 percent and pending sales are up 30.2 percent over November 2012. Vermont is the only state in the region showing a home-sales increase, year-over-year. Every state except New Hampshire and Vermont have less inventory year-over-year.
‘The New England housing market recovery has progressed on many fronts,’ commented Dan Breault, EVP/Regional Director of RE/MAX of New England. ‘As we look to the new year, we need to keep an eye on the new mortgage rules and how they could significantly impact homebuyers able to enter the market.’
