Buff Lindau, the long-serving Director of Marketing & Communications at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, announced her retirement in a statement sent Wednesday morning to her news media contacts. Lindau has been a relentless promoter of the college, while always working behind the scenes.
Her entire statement reads:
"To my associates in the media,’
"I have enjoyed a 35-year relationship with the press in my PR work for Saint Michael’s College. I am enormously grateful for the work we have done together, and the attention you have given Saint Michael's over the years.’
"I go way back with some of you, and want to let all of you know how much I appreciate the relationship we have enjoyed. We have had many occasions of working to get the story, and get it right.’ I thank you for your professionalism, hard work, interest and generosity.’
"I am retiring at the end of this month, and want to say thank you for the attention you have given this college.’
"I will soon post a name, email address, and phone number of the person at Saint Michael’s who will be the media contact during this time of transition.’
"Thank you, and all best wishes!"
