On Tuesday, August 13th, from 9:00-11:00AM, the Vermont Department of Labor is holding a ‘Rapid Response’session for workers who may have recently been laid-off from their jobs, including those employees displaced from the Burlington Free Press. Seating is limited at this session to 20 participants, so pre-registration is required. The session will be held at the Department of Labor’s regional office at 63 Pearl Street in Burlington.
VDOL will present information on how to learn ‘who’s hiring’in the Burlington labor market; services and funding for dislocated workers; how to conduct an effective job search; how to file for unemployment, and an overview of services available through the Vermont Department of Labor or other entities.
