Vermont Grocers’Association is pleased to announce its scholarship winners chosen for the 2012-2013 academic year. Thirteen high school graduates were selected to receive grants to be applied to their college education expenses.
VGAâ s Scholarship Program was established to provide financial assistance to 1styear students to further their education after high school. Funds are raised through a June golf tournament and several events at the organizationâ s fall conference.
This is the 23nd year the association has presented awards to students who are employed or are a dependent of an employee at a member store/company.
The Vermont Grocers’Association is a non-profit trade association of approximately 670 Vermont food stores and over 225 suppliers to the industry. The organization provides members with a variety of educational, group programs and industry advocacy. It is headquartered in Montpelier, Vermont.
