New England Air Systems wins Green Best Builder Award

New England Air Systems recently won the award for Outstanding Quality of Work and Effort, in the New, Specialty Building, given by the Associated General Contractors of Vermont (AGC/VT), at its Annual Best Builders Award Ceremony held on December 4 at the Hilton Hotel in South Burlington.
New England Air Systems won for their work on the VT State Employees Credit Union, in Rutland.
The company provided mechanical and plumbing LEED design build services on the VESCU project in Rutland VT. The mechanical design was a collaborative effort with electrical and building construction to reduce energy cost, water consumption, and the carbon footprint. The overall total energy reduction was 39% functional while providing the area banking services.
Equipment was arranged on site to reduce the acoustical impacts and arranged to support the aesthetics on the building on the site. Tight building construction reduced air infiltration, energy use and improved occupant comfort by eliminating drafts.
Enhanced ventilation is provided through an air to air Heat Recovery Unit *HRU) that supplies outside air and provides general exhaust for the building. The outside air is also filtered with high efficiency filters to reduce contaminants and dust from entering the building.
This is the only LEED Gold certified Financial Institution in the State of Vermont.
