Brattleboro Retreat’s 7th annual golf tournament tops $38,000 to benefit kids

More than 125 golfers played through occasional rain showers on Wednesday, August 1stto help make the Brattleboro Retreat’s 7thAnnual Golf Tournament a swinging success. Held at the Brattleboro Country Club inBrattleboro,VT, the event raised more than $38,000 to benefit the therapeutic recreational activities for children and adolescents receiving care at the Retreat.
The Retreat’s commitment to recreational, creative and leisure activities in the healing process goes back almost as far as our founding in 1834,’said Tim Jungclaus, director of Therapeutic Services. ‘This remains a distinguishing feature of our overall philosophy and belief in an integrated programming approach. The tournament plays a big part in keeping us going.’
This year’s Platinum Sponsor was Sodexo. Gold Sponsors included Communicators Group; Downs RachlinMartin, PLLC; the Melanson Company; MVP Health Care; Physician Finders; The Richards Group; WKVT; and WTSA.

Winner of the tournament’s ‘First Gross’was the team of Elizabeth Walker, Eileen Ranslow, Scott Wilson and Toby Muncill. Winner of ‘First Net’was the team representing Hole Sponsor HCRS (Cory Wilkerson, Josh Compton, Phil DeMuzio, and Jarrod James).
The team that took ‘Second Gross’were representatives from Gold Sponsor Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC and Silver Sponsor Hawk Partners (Joe Choquette, David Minnis, Dennis McLister, and Taylor Foehl). ‘Second Net’went to the team representing Silver Sponsor Brattleboro Subaru (Chris Ducharme, Nate Barnard, John Sciacca, and Paul Sucharzewski).
