TD Bank, through the TD Charitable Foundation, recently donated a total of $29,000 to local organizations in Chittenden County as part of the bank’s commitment to giving back to the community.
The following organizations received a donation from the TD Charitable Foundation:
§ King Street Youth Center (KSYC), which promotes personal and social wellness through educational, recreational and social programs, creating responsible and productive children, youth and families. KSYC will use the funds from the TD Charitable Foundation to support the Teen Futures program encompassing leadership development, college preparation, academic support, job readiness training and seasonal employment.
§ Champlain College, which will use the funds from the TD Charitable Foundation in support of the New American Scholars at Champlain College program, providing refugees with one–on-one tutoring, support in connecting to the campus and Burlington community, help in crisis situations and cultural experiences otherwise unavailable to these new Americans.
§ Smart Growth Vermont, Inc., which works to encourage economic vitality in community centers and preserve Vermont’s unique working landscape and quality of place. Smart Growth Vermont will use the funds from the TD Charitable Foundation to enhance the online Community Planning Toolbox sections related to affordable housing.
§ Greater Burlington YMCA, Inc., which will use the funds from the TD Charitable Foundation in support of the YMCA’s early education and childcare program.
