Burlington, Vt.--With snow piled high and winds from the north keeping temperatures at record lows, it's hard to imagine that spring will ever arrive! We remain optimistic when it comes to both the weather and the economic climate as we plan our Spring Job Fair on Monday, March 30th.
Career Services, in partnership with the Academic Divisions and Student Government Association, offers the Fair as a convenient forum where you can connect face-to-face with candidates seeking full-time employment. We hope you will see this as a worthwhile endeavor and will seize the opportunity to meet many qualified applicants. All job seekers will be welcome at the event. This includes Champlain College students and alumni as well as students and graduates from other Vermont colleges and members of the community who are currently seeking work. If you are also offering part-time jobs, summer jobs and/or internships, this is an ideal venue in which to promote these opportunities as well.
Hours for the Fair are 1:30 until 5:30 p.m. We are excited to be able to provide you with a highly visible space in the Argosy Gymnasium within the IDX Student Life Center to promote your organization and recruit candidates for current and anticipated penings. To reserve a table at this year's Job Fair, send an e-mail to [email protected]. To confirm your spot at the Fair, return the attached form along with the registration fee of $75 by February 22nd so that we can make every attempt to accommodate special needs you may have and compile a list of the opportunities you and other participants will be offering.
We look forward to a mutually successful day for you and for the job seekers who will be in attendance at the event. If your schedule doesn't allow for participation this year, remember that we will gladly post and promote opportunities on our web-based JobSpot; this is a FREE service that is offered year 'round. Contact Career Services by telephone (802/860-2720) or e-mail ([email protected]) if you have questions or would like further information.
With warmest regards from your Fair hosts, Dolly Shaw and Erin Meenan, Career Advisors for the Education and Human
