Latest Unemployment Press Release
August 24, 2009
"Unemployment fell sharply in July, apparently due to increased hiring of youth for summer work and a modest recovery of the Leisure and Hospitality sector. However, the early data indicate we will likely see an upward revision of the unemployment rate as has occurred for the past several months. For example, we saw June's unemployment rate climb from 7.1% to 7.3% after final revision."
