Winners for the Vermont Hospitality Councils
Summer 2009 and Fall 2009 Top Ten List
The Vermont Hospitality Council, a division
of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce the winners
for the Top Ten Summer 2009 events and the Top Ten Fall 2009 events. A
complete list of winners and descriptions of the events are available at
http://www.vtchamber.com/events/.
The Top Ten Events are chosen by a panel
of independent judges. Winning events are open to the public, scheduled
between April 1 and August 31, 2009 for the Top Ten Summer 2009 events
and September 1 and October 31, 2009 for the Top Ten Fall 2009 events,
appeals to out-of-state visitors, and has the potential to attract a large
and diverse audience, including children.
An independent panel of judges also considers
criteria such as:
" Size and past audience of the event and
room for growth within the event.
" Geographic and seasonal date distribution
among Top Ten Event nominees.
" If Top Ten Event award winners as a whole
represent the variety of possible Vermont experiences, i.e.
arts, history, agriculture, gardening, community, recreation, etc.
" Complete and timely application by the
event coordinator.
