Sovernet deploys four new ADTRAN 5000s

Bellows Falls, VT September 15, 2008 Sovernet, a leading provider of telecommunications services in Northern New England, further enhances its Nextgen capability by announcing the deployment of four new ADTRAN 5000s to Keene NH, Burlington VT, Brattleboro VT, and Winooski, VT.

The ADTRAN Total Access 5000 is a carrier class multi-service access and aggregation platform that bridges the gap between existing and the next-generation networks. Its highly scalable, all Ethernet architecture allows Sovernet to deploy multiple voice and data services, while optimizing a converged network architecture capable of meeting growing bandwidth requirements. Sovernet will begin offering Single-Pair High-speed Digital Subscriber Line (SHDSL) in the upcoming weeks, capable of speeds from 5 to 40 Mbit/s.
