VTrans is repaving about 10 miles of Route 7 between Ferrisburgh and New Haven. Recent activity has been off road, but starting Tuesday (September 16) the paving machines will return. We expect them to be working for five solid days, including Saturday, Sept 20.
Paving means traffic must be limited to one lane, and history shows that lengthy delays in this area can result when this happens. Therefore, motorists should expect that there will be delays between September 16 and September 20 along Route 7 for the 10-mile stretch that begins at the intersection of Route 22A in Ferrisburgh and runs south to New Haven. Motorists should allow for additional time to reach their destination, or seek an alternate route whenever possible.
I remind everyone that paving is weather dependent. We have scheduled the work to run from September 16 to September 20, but these dates are subject to change if Mother Nature does not cooperate.
