As of March 1, 2008, ownership of Mad River Family Practice, located on Old County Road in Waitsfield, was transferred to Central Vermont Medical Center.
The day to day function of the office will be unchanged. Dr. Fran Cook and Family Nurse Practitioners Susanne Heinzerling and Debbie VanDyke will continue in full time practice, as will as the entire staff. Mad River Family Practice will be utilizing lab, X-ray and supportive services of CVMC more than in the past and CVMC will be assuming management of administrative and billing services.
Mad River Family Practice has been serving the people of the Mad River Valley since 1981 and we are pleased to have them join our medical group practices, stated Judy Tarr, CVMC President and CEO.
Central Vermont Medical Group includes 13 other offices: Associates in Family Health, Barre; Associates in Gynecology and Obstetrics, Berlin; Associates in Pediatrics, Berlin; Barre Internal Medicine; Barre Pediatrics; Central Vermont Rheumatology, Berlin; Central Vermont Surgery, Berlin; Central Vermont Midwifery, Berlin; Family Psychiatry Associates, Barre; Montpelier Health Center; Mountainview Urology, Berlin; Waterbury Medical Associates; and Green Mountain Family Practice, Northfield.
