Extreme Makeover' in Vermont to air December 9

"EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION" VERMONT EPISODE TO AIR DECEMBER 9, 8 pm

South Burlington, Vt. -- (Nov. 29, 2007) -- In September, The McKernon Group of Brandon built a home for a deserving family in Athens, Vermont, at the request of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." The show will air on Sunday, December 9th at 8:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
The Vitale family and their two sons were living in an old deer camp. Two years ago, Louie Junior was born with multiple birth defects, and his health was at risk because of his living conditions.
ABC required that the contractor solicit donations of time and materials for the project, that it design and manage the entire build, and that the house be built in 7 days with only a few weeks to prepare. McKernon was responsible for the clean-up and also covered this house with its warranty, just as with with any of its clients.
This will be the only Extreme Makeover show filmed in Vermont. The Vitale house is unique in that it is a 5 Star + Energy Starâ Home. It is built with insulating concrete forms, sprayed-in urethane foam, fiberglass windows, Photovoltaic solar panels, rated appliances, efficient mechanical systems and light fixtures. It is compliant with ADA handicap requirements, and is tailor-fit for the family's needs.
Please check McKernon's Web site for photos and an opportunity to donate.
