Distributed Energy Systems Now Using Corporate Name

DISTRIBUTED ENERGY SYSTEMS NOW USING ITS CORPORATE NAME AS ITS COMPANY-WIDE BRAND
WALLINGFORD, CT, May 2, 2007 -- Distributed Energy Systems Corp. said today it is now officially using the Distributed Energy Systems name as its brand throughout the company, in part reflecting the reorganization it announced earlier this year.
By universally adopting the Distributed Energy Systems name, todays announcement officially marks the combining of its two subsidiaries Northern Power Systems and Proton Energy Systems.
The purpose of the combination is to help strengthen systems sales and coordination, engineering, production, service and technology development. The corporate adoption of the name was effective Friday, April 27th.
