Guy Boyer Named to Chair Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont Board of Directors.
Berlin - Guy Boyer has been elected to chair the Board of Directors of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont.
Mr. Boyer joined the BCBSVT Board in 2003 and will succeed Deborah Granquist as its chair. Ms. Granquist, who has served as chair since 2004, remains on the Board.
Mr. Boyer is president and chief executive officer of Factory Point Bank in Manchester Center, Vermont. He is past president of the Schuylkill (PA) Chamber of Commerce and the Schuylkill County Bankers Association.
He has served on the Boards of the United Way, the Economic Development Council, the Boy Scouts of America, Burr and Burton Academy, and currently serves on the Board of Maple Street School and the Vermont Bankers Association. A certified public accountant, he is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
He holds a BA degree from Pennsylvania State University, and also is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Trust School at Bucknell University, the National Trust School at Northwestern University, and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware.

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont Board of Directors comprises 14 men and women from all corners of Vermont and all walks of life.
