CLAIMS SIX OF TEN SPOTS IN SKI MAGAZINE TOP TEN EASTERN SKI RESORTS
BOULDER,
Colo Six Vermont ski resorts were named to the Ski Magazine annual Top
Ten East Coast resorts in the magazines October edition. Last year, four
Vermont resorts made the Top Ten and three of
the resorts from Vermont
making the top ten this season were not on the list at all last year.
Killington, Smugglers Notch, Stowe, Okemo, Sugarbush and
Stratton made the magazines 2005-06 Top Ten, with Smugglers Notch
and Killington taking second and third, respectively, after No.1 Tremblant.
SKIs Top 50 Resort Guide is the perfect forum for skiers
to share their best ski experiences, says SKI Magazines executive
editor Greg Ditrinco, adding that more than 20,000 of the magazines
subscribers of two or more years are surveyed by an independent research firm.
Resorts are ranked in 17 categories: Region, Snow, Grooming, Terrain,
Challenge, Value, Lifts, Service, Weather, Access, On-Mountain Food, Lodging,
Dining, Après Ski, Off-Hill Activities, Family Programs, Scenery and Terrain Parks.
