Exposition Wins National Honors

Champlain Valley Exposition Receives
National Honors for Fair Photos and Exhibits
ESSEX JUNCTION, VT - The Champlain Valley Exposition (CVE) received five top awards at the International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) 115th annual conference held Nov. 28-30 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Exposition won first place awards in the IAFE Competitive Exhibits Contest, General Competitive Exhibit Display Photo showing the Winners Circle in the Home Crafts Department and the Competitive Exhibit Display Photo Series categories showing the giant pumpkin weigh-in process. The winning photos were taken by Stephen Mease, CVEs director of public relations.
CVE won first place in IAFEs Agricultural Award Division for a series of photos depicting a young girl's first-time showing her 4-H calf. The Exposition also received a second-place Agricultural Award for its Exhibitor Handbook, edited by Mease and Vicky Benjamin, CVEs sales and marketing secretary; and a third place for its Exhibitor Handbook Cover Art, featuring photos from the 2004 Fair taken by Mease.
Champlain Valley Exposition is a non-profit organization located in Essex Junction, Vt. The organization, which holds the annual 10-day Champlain Valley Fair and more than 100 other special events year-round, is celebrating its 85th anniversary in 2006.
