Primetime Concepts, Inc. has been
retained to manage and execute a program of public relations and
marketing enhancement initiatives for the Southern Vermont Regional
Marketing Organization, reports agency president, Lynn Barrett.
"Primetime is expert in developing cost-effective, high visibility,
image and awareness building campaigns that get results. As Vermont
businesses struggle to compete in the highly competitive global
marketplace, strategic public relations programs are an essential
part of the marketing arsenal," she says.
The program that has been developed in conjunction with the Regional
Marketing Organization's Roundtable Board and the Vermont Department of
Marketing & Tourism will be partly devoted to luring visitors to Southern
Vermont through stories and features in newspapers, magazines and on
television.
In addition, the program will include FAM (familiarization) tours
where media will be invited to experience the area, desk side visits to
key media in New York, initial development of a cultural heritage guide,
and enhancements to the southernvermont.com web site. "We will also be
partnering with the Vermont Department of Marketing & Tourism to develop a
radio advertising campaign in key drive markets," she adds.
Barrett sees an important opportunity to help local Vermont
businesses reach new markets in a tough economy.
"Small businesses on their own do not have the marketing clout to
make an impact, but through partnering, and pooling resources and
working together as a region, and state, everyone can benefit, " she says.
"That's the idea behind regional marketing."
