The Equinox Resort and Spa is Named to the Top 50 Ski Resorts in North America

General Manager Gary Thulander announced
that The Equinox Resort and Spa has been ranked as the
number 36th Ski Resort in North America by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine.
The ranking appears in the December 2003 issue. "This is a great
accomplishment for The Equinox and our staff," commented Thulander. "To be
the only Resort in Vermont and one of only 2 in the Eastern United States
to make this list is a tremendous honor. It's a testament to our staff's
commitment to provide the ultimate in customer service. This is yet
another step
toward our goal of being the number one resort in the Northeast."
For the past eight years the magazine has asked readers to evaluate 187
ski resorts in North America using six criteria: Terrain and Conditions,
Town/Ambience/Amenities, Lifts and Lines, Food and Service. Being ranked
36th overall is an amazing accomplishment given the fact that The
Equinox is
located 30 minutes from the ski mountain. Most of the resorts in this
survey are located on a ski mountain. Perhaps more impressive is the fact
that The
Equinox placed in the top ten in these categories; 4th in the
Accommodations, 7th in Food and 10th in Service. The Equinox's management
group
RockResorts, placed two other properties on the list; The Lodge at Vail
and Keystone Lodge.
This is the third major accolade for The Equinox this year, having been
named the #9 Luxury resort in the US and Canada by Departures Magazine and
earning
recognition as one of the top 500 Hotels in the World by Travel and
Leisure Magazine.
