New Interactive Website and West Coast Office Mark Northern Power Systems Growth

Northern Power Systems has launched a
new interactive website: www.northernpower.com
and established a west coast presence to
support its rapid growth as a leading provider of state-of-the-art power
solutions. Serving commercial, industrial, and government audiences, the
new site is a resource for information about
on-site power, integrated power, renewable energy and isolated utility
power. In addition, the company announced it has opened a new office space
at 33 New Montgomery St., Suite 1280, in the middle of San Francisco's
financial district. The new office furthers Northern's commitment to better
service customers affected by the instability of grid-supplied power brought
about through deregulation of the regional electric markets.
Visitors to the new website will be able to obtain information on power
solutions for prime/continuous power, combined heat and power (CHP), and
critical load support from both fossil fuel and renewable energy sources in
applications that are both connected to the grid and off the grid. Key
features of the site include:

* A basic needs assessment to direct visitors to the
most relevant information according to their needs;

* Site analysis surveys to determine appropriate power
solutions and offer preliminary budget estimates;

* Information on power trends as they relate to
particular markets, such as commercial/institutional facilities, digitally
dependent business, distributed generation, manufacturing, industrial
infrastructure and remote installations; and

* Case studies and detailed information about many of
the projects Northern has completed for a blue-chip list of clients.
To kick-off the new website Northern Power is offering site visitors a free
packet of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters' Organic Blend coffee. Green
Mountain Coffee Roasters utilizes an efficient and ultra-reliable CHP
system, provided by Northern, to ensure critical power for its bean roasting
process. Learn more about this project from the case study found on the new
website. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to subscribe to
PowerForward, the company's quarterly "energy news and views" enewsletter
featuring contributions from Northern's executive vice president, Dan
Reicher. Reicher brings significant market and regulatory insight gained from
his prior experience as U.S. Assistant Secretary of Energy for Renewable
Energy and Energy Efficiency.
The San Francisco office supports new project development and serves as
project office for Northern's growing customer base. Northern has been
building relationships in California for more than 20 years, offering
on-site generation solutions. With the power crisis in the state increasing
electricity prices and causing transmission constraints as projected by the
California Energy Commission, Northern's cogeneration and renewable on-site
generation systems are providing both economic and lower polluting solutions
to the challenges many businesses are facing. For example, Northern is
currently implementing a 1.5 MW highly efficient, CHP on-site power system
in downtown San Francisco for Equity Office Properties the
largest commercial real estate owner in the country. Northern is installing
a highly efficient cogeneration system aiming to improve the energy supply
and lessen the impact on the environment..
