Caring for Forests in a Changing Climate, Oct 3

Join Ethan Tapper, the Chittenden County Forester, and Ali Kosiba, UVM Extension Forester and Vermont's former Climate Forester, for an evening stroll through a recently-completed forest management project at the Catamount Community Forest. We will discuss the role of active forest management in building resilient, adaptive, healthy forests in a changing climate, while also managing to improve wildlife habitat and create old-growth characteristics. During the walk, we will share the 12 Steps of Managing Your Forests with Climate Change in Mind, a new resource from VWA, VT FPR and UVM Extension.
