Breakfast and Hike: Join Bernie Sanders for a Hike and Town Meeting about the Great Outdoors

Sunday, November 12 at 10:30 a.m.

Dear Fellow Vermonter,

One of the best parts of my job as your senator is meeting and talking with Vermonters in communities across our state, from all walks of life. And one of my favorite parts of living in our state is enjoying the beauty of state parks and the great outdoors – even in stick season. So before the weather gets too cold, I hope you will join me and the Director of Vermont State Parks Nate McKeen for a morning conversation about the Vermont state park system and how we can better enjoy the natural beauty of our state. The meeting will be followed by a hike on the grounds of Button Bay State Park. A light breakfast will be available.

Button Bay is one of 55 state parks across Vermont, which offer people affordable or free access to the outdoors, close to home, year round. I know how much Vermonters enjoy our state parks, and this town meeting and family-friendly hike with views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks is a good opportunity to celebrate this publicly-conserved land. It is also a chance to gather with neighbors and friends and enjoy a short hike before winter.

Please RSVP HERE to secure your spot for yourself, family, and friends. Bagels and coffee will be available beginning at 10:00 a.m. Participants are asked to arrive no later than 10:30 a.m. to allow time for parking.

I hope to see you on the trail!
