Age Strong Vermont Fall Summit November 15

Vermont Business Magazine State and local officials, policy makers and community leaders will come together for a one-day summit to discuss and share their plans for using the Age Strong VT strategies for building an “age-friendly” Vermont. Age Strong VT

is a new 10-year visionary plan for making Vermont a great place for all ages and stages of life.

WHEN:            November 15, 2023, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

WHERE:           Waterbury State Office Complex Atrium, 280 State Drive, Waterbury

WHY:               Age Strong VT’s goals are big. The plan touches on all aspects of aging well – a secure retirement, health and wellness, social connection, housing, transportation, community design, a coordinated system of services, family caregiver support, and balancing self-determination with safety and protection. The plan offers strategies for how to expand and strengthen partnerships across government, business, and communities – all while reframing aging and making Vermont livable for all. 

WHO:              Speakers will include Monica Hutt, Chief Prevention Officer in the Office of Governor Phil Scott, Jenney Samuelson, Secretary of the Agency of Human Services, Department of Health Commissioner Mark Levine, MD., Monica White, Commissioner of the Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living, and others.
