Resilience: Overcoming Doubt, Braving Your Business

BURLINGTON, Vt -- Women Business Owners Network (WBON) is announces its 2019 Fall Conference: Resilience: Overcoming Doubt, Braving Your Business. The annual event will take place on Tuesday, October 8, at Hotel Vermont in Burlington. 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, $85.

Women are known for their resilience, yet as business owners they may face doubts and fears daily. Many women business owners feel additional internal pressures and the strain of professional environments not designed for a woman to succeed. This conference is an opportunity for women to join fellow women business owners to connect in a community of peers and leave with tools and techniques for overcoming doubt and braving their business.

The event kicks off with a keynote by Monica Chapman of Construction Management Direct (CMD), a nationally recognized leader in commercial and residential restoration. with her presentation entitled Build Back Better; Resilience in Life and Work.

The day will also feature several women business owners sharing their stories of resilience, followed by engaging roundtable discussions about ways to cultivate resilience amid challenges.

The day ends with an interview of Eliza Cain, owner of Red Hen Bakery Co., facilitated by emcee Mary Catherine Jones of Voice Over Vermont. There will be an afterparty at Juniper.
