Last month, The New England Regional Defense Industry Collaboration (NERDIC) kicked off an Industry 4.0 series of workshops to support competitive advantages and growth of our regional defense supply chain. For the next several weeks, they will continue to deliver this series of free readiness workshops and demonstrations to showcase how emerging technologies can be used to help optimize manufacturing processes in the New England defense manufacturing supply chain. 

Join us each week to learn more about these technologies, including 3D printing, desk top metal studio systems and Additive Manufacturing processes. Partner Job Opportunity - Advanced Mfg. Lab Director

The Vermont Manufacturing Collaborative (VT-MC), managed by Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center, is immediately seeking a Laboratory Director for its new Advanced Manufacturing Lab nearing completion late this summer. The Lab will be equipped with state-of-the–art, Additive Manufacturing (AM) equipment focused on manufacturing-scale metal and polymer AM.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director of VT-MC, this individual will provide technical expertise, supervision, operations and maintenance planning and scheduling of the Advanced Manufacturing Lab.  The Lab Director will also plan and provide management of day-to-day Lab operations and activities. The position requires working with VTC faculty in scheduling Lab use and class enhancements, training of student worker, and regular interactions with a variety of Vermont manufacturers, VMEC, state, regional and national entities, plus delivery of projects for the Department of Defense and Vermont manufacturers. Be part of this developing new Vermont resource and public-private partnership between higher education, industry, government and entities.
