Celebration of Peonies

May 20-June 14, Manchester

During the last two weeks of May and first two weeks of June see 1000’s of peony blooms at Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home. Many of the peonies were planted by Robert and Mary Lincoln’s daughter, Jesse.

 

Many Thousand Gone: Portraits of the African American Experience

May 22-August 9, Middlebury

Approximately 100 photographs of African Americans from the collection of George R. Rinhart, ranging from 1840s daguerreotypes to photos of the 1960s Civil Rights era.

Strolling of the Heifers Weekend

A weekend of fun and education for the whole family, built around the “world-famous” Strolling of the Heifers parade down Main Street. Food, music, dance and demonstrations.

 

Killington Downhill Throwdown

June 6-8, Killington

Skateboard and street luge on East Mountain Road. Riders from around the world gather to ride two miles down the fastest course east of the Mississippi.
