All Vermont woodworking businesses are invited to be a vendor at the Vermont Forest Festival on Saturday & Sunday, September 26-27, 2015 at Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park and Billings Farm & Museum on Route 12 in Woodstock, Vermont!
A new spin on an old event and a new partnership that offers so much promise! The Vermont Wood Manufacturers Association will once again partner with Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, and new this year the Billings Farm and Museum, to host the 2015 Vermont Forest Festival.
In collaboration with MBR National Park and the Billings Farm, the VWMA has made arrangements to use the 2nd floor of the Billings Farm Visitor Center and grounds to hold a new and smaller rendition of the Vermont Fine Woodworking & Furniture Festival that has been held for the past 11 years in Vermont. This event has received Top Ten Fall Event designation from the Vermont Chamber of Commerce for several years. Exhibitors, demonstrations, and activities at both locations will offer visitors a unique opportunity to see a slice of Vermont’s farm and forest lifestyle, while shopping for fine handcrafted wood products.

The second floor of the Visitor Center at Billings Farm is beautiful open loft space with lawn-level access out the double back doors. Outdoor lawn space outside the doors will be available for vendors who wish to set up their own tent for sales or demonstrations and there are also two “more rustic” barns available for sales and demonstration. All areas are easily accessed through the Visitor Center or while strolling the walkways. Vendor space will be offered on a first come first serve basis, indoors and outdoors. The Visitor Center loft will accommodate nine vendor spaces at 9’deep x 10’wide, three spaces at 5’deep x 10’wide for vendors who set up table displays, and one 9’x10’ space within a room accessed by an open doorway. When you think about this space, think “organic,” think “small,” rather than structured – beautiful barn board walls and floors, lots of track lights, no pipe and drape, no carpet designating aisles, no 50’ ceilings. It’s absolutely perfect for showing off Vermont made furniture and other wood products in a tasteful gallery-like footprint.
This is a great opportunity to showcase and sell your products. Vermont’s fall foliage season brings many visitors to all of our popular attractions and most are looking for an authentic Vermont experience. At this event, visitors can learn how important farms and forests are to Vermont and enjoy the many products that come from each component of Vermont’s working landscape.
