Recent news reports indicate economic trends at the national and state levels are moving in a modest upward direction, but some indicators continue to cloud the outlook.
The Vermont Economic Conference will explore these issues with a national economic perspective, an outlook of state economic trends, and new this year a dashboard of economic indicators to further the conversation about Vermont's economic future.
We will also interview the top four policy leaders in the state (Governor, Lt. Governor, Speaker of the House and President Pro Tempore) to understand how their work will impact these trend lines in 2016.
The event is designed to provide a solid economic foundation for attendees to use in their daily work throughout the year. Attendees will include business people, government officials, non-profit managers, trade association leaders, and other interested citizens.
