Vermont voters will learn about the candidates’ positions on hot topics such as renewable energy and clean water.

Vermont Conservation Voters and Vermont Natural Resources Council will co-host a gubernatorial candidate debate on the top environmental issues facing the state. There are significant environmental challenges and opportunities facing Vermont’s candidates for Governor, from cleaning up Lake Champlain to achieving the state’s goal of 90 percent renewable energy by 2050. The debate will cover issues ranging from clean energy and climate change, to clean water, toxic chemical contamination, healthy forests and wildlife, and promoting sustainable communities.
