Sunday workshop series at Mt. Ascutney Hospital will focus on mindfulness and stress reduction
This Spring, Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) will host a series of four workshops called “Finding Our Way Back to a Healthy and Mindful Life.”
This four-session series will be led by Mike Denmeade, a practitioner in mindfulness-based stress reduction and meditation at MAHHC who will provide tools, insights and experiences to help attendees manage the stressors of a busy life. “We’ll focus on effective breathing and relaxation techniques, plus mindfulness and awareness exercises to help us ‘be where we are’ and enjoy life, ourselves and others,” says Denmeade.
“Spring is a time to lighten up – a time of hope and fresh starts. We invite the community to join us, and discover ways to feel more positive, energized and calm.”
Pre-registration is required for the workshop series, which will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on four Sundays in April: April 3, 10, 17 and 24, in the MAHHC Boardroom. Cost for the complete series is $40, with limited scholarships available.
