Rutland’s graduating its newest group of entrepreneurs from the CWEVT 10-Week Business Planning course for Rutland’s women entrepreneurs – and we’d love for you to help us celebrate!
Please join us at Community College of Vermont on West Street next Wednesday, 11/13 from 5:30-7:30PM for a fun-filled celebratory evening. You’ll have a chance to meet these impressive entrepreneurs who are making Rutland – and Vermont – THE place to start a business. You’ll also have a chance to see some of the excellent people supporting women entrepreneurs here in Vermont. We couldn’t have done this without all the amazing partners who presented or counseled the entrepreneurs throughout the course. This course was provided at no cost to participants thanks to the generosity of the Agency of Commerce & Community Development’s ThinkVermont Innovation grant. There are tons of people to celebrate!

Here’s a breakdown of the evening:
Graduation is a celebration where the students get to really show off their business knowledge and ask the community for help in their next steps. We invite people from the community, like resource providers and local officials/business owners, etc. (in addition to family) to help celebrate and get to know the emerging entrepreneurs.
Graduation Schedule:
· Welcome by CWEVT and REDC
· Christie Garofano, CWEVT Instructor & owner of Body Essential PT & Wellness, shares about the group dynamic & content covered
· Students do BRIEF elevator pitch (literally 30 seconds) from their table to let the group know who they are and where in the room they are
· Speed Mentoring/Table Talks – Each student has a table to show off their products/service. Guests move around to each table and talk with students about their businesses. This is where the real magic happens! We have conversations last about 6-10 minutes, then we ring a bell to switch. Everyone gets a chance to meet everyone else
