Now accepting WCD proposals!

October 17, 2019

Calling all STEM and trades professionals!

Vermont Works for Women is now accepting workshop and action expo proposals for our 21st annual Women Can Do!

Women Can Do is Vermont's largest one-day career immersion experience for high school girls and gender non-conforming youth. This year's event will take place on October 17 at Vermont Tech in Randolph. At Women Can Do, nearly 500 students will attend dozens of hands-on workshops and action stations highlighting careers in the skilled trades and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields.

We're seeking enthusiastic individuals to lead these activities and help us introduce students to non-traditional careers for women, or life skills, through fun, engaging, youth-centered activities. To be considered for this year's conference you must submit a workshop or action expo proposal. Proposals will be evaluated based on their relevance to the conference’s goals and resource needs. We will begin to review proposals starting June 1 and accept proposals on a rolling basis until full.

Submit a proposal!

Every inch of this program is designed to safely introduce students to high-paying career pathways they might not have considered. Thank you for your consideration!
