East Central Vermont Economic Development District
(Woodstock, VT)— In December of 2013, the U.S. Economic Development Administration formally designated the East Central Vermont Region as an Economic Development District (ECVEDD). This designation means that the ECVEDD and member municipalities are eligible to apply for financial assistance for planning and implementation of economic development projects of broad geographic significance. Together, four regional entities applied for and received the designation: Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation, Springfield Regional Development Corporation, Southern Windsor County Regional Planning Commission and Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission.
In celebration of this newly designated organization and for the first ECVEDD presentation, we’re excited to have Erik Pages from EntreWorks Consulting join us to discuss “New Approaches to Building Communities.” Erik will also lead a more in-depth workshop later in the evening, for those who wish to stay. ECVEDD Board Members will be in attendance and we invite members of the public to join us for the presentation, workshop and to meet the new board members.
