Lumina Foundation CEO Jamie Merisotis
to speak at Champlain College on October 26, 4 p.m.

WHAT: Vermont recently set a goal to increase postsecondary degree and credential attainment to 70 percent of the state’s adult population by 2015. This work is supported by the national efforts of the Lumina Foundation under the leadership of CEO Jamie Merisotis. In his keynote address, Merisotis will discuss the premise of his book, America Needs Talent: Attracting, Educating, and Deploying the 21st Century Workforce.
In America Needs Talent, he argues that talent is needed in order to “usher in a new era of innovation and success” and proposes specific roles for government, the private sector, education and individuals in achieving these goals.
