First event will be hosted by new Burlington boutique Tailfeather.
Recognizing the encouragement women leaders in Vermont’s growing cannabis community have to offer each other, Heady Vermont is proud to announce Women Of Weed Wednesdays, a new monthly networking event taking place at cannabis-friendly businesses across the state.
The inaugural Women Of Weed Wednesday will kick off in Burlington on Wednesday, April 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tailfeather, a new, locally-owned boutique which specializes in providing stylish, functional products created with earth-friendly materials.
“We’re so excited to be involved with Women of Weed,” says Tailfeather owner Kari Feingold. “There’s nothing better than bringing women together in support of each other - except maybe bringing women together in support of each other and this powerful, beautiful, deeply healing plant!”
Heady Vermont CEO Monica Donovan agrees with Feingold’s feelings about the synergy of women and cannabis. “Ashley Reynolds of Elmore Mountain Therapeutics brought a documentary to town called Puffragettes: Women of Weed, which profiled women who were building cannabis businesses in Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and California. We were so moved by the collaborative community these women were creating for each other, that we wanted to do something like that in Vermont.”
The Women of Weed gathering at Tailfeather will feature light snacks, beverages, and live music.
“Of course,” adds Donovan, “you don’t have to be a canna-business leader to come to a WoW event. Everyone is welcome!”
Address: Tailfeather – 207 College Street, Burlington, VT – Wednesday, April 25, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 pm. More event details available at the Heady Vermont website. RSVP on Facebook.
