Groennfell Meadery to Host VBSR Networking Get-Together
-Clean Water, Craft Mead to Highlight Event-
Burlington, VT – What does clean water have to do with craft mead? Everything!
Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) is pleased to announce that
Groennfell Meadery is welcoming VBSR members and friends for a night of networking
and education around socially responsible business practices on March 22, from 5:30 to
7:30 PM at Colchester’s Mead Hall in Colchester, VT.
“The people at Groennfell are committed to the environment and their community,” said
VBSR Executive Director Jane Campbell. “We are thrilled to be having this event at their
meadery and we think business leaders will really benefit from hearing about their
approach to business.” Campbell noted that the owners at Groennfell have achieved
95% sequestration for cleaning and wastewater, which helps keep phosphorous out of
local waterways, and that the restaurant side of the business has a free community
space for non-profits to use every week.
Part of a statewide series dedicated to helping connect like-minded business leaders
and share knowledge around the triple-bottom-line approach to business, VBSR
expects the event to draw more than 125 attendees. The event is open to the public and
is free for VBSR members and state officials; $10 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is
requested and all pre-registrants will be entered to win a gift bag from the new
Burlington-based luxurious skin care company, Ogee.
The event is sponsored by Career Networks, City Market, Office Environments,
Ogee, Pride Center of Vermont, Sugarsnap, SunCommon, and TruexCullins
Architecture + Interior Design.
