Goodwill Industries of Northern New England launches locally-sourced product line April 26

Goodwill Industries of Northern New England (Goodwill NNE) announces a partnership with 29 local companies to launch locally-sourced, sustainable merchandise sales – 100% Neighbor-Made. On Saturday, April 26, Goodwill NNE is holding a 100% Neighbor-Made launch party at the retail store at 1080 Shelburne Road in South Burlington, Vermont. The event will run from 9:00am-11:00am. Some of our 100% Neighbor-Made vendors will be at the store displaying their products.

Known for recycling gently used items and clothing, Goodwill NNE also sells select new items in our 27 stores. For years, Goodwill NNE looked for a way to showcase domestic products and feature small businesses from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont – as a way to help them build their business and workforce. As a result, Goodwill Industries of Northern New England is teaming up with makers of small wooden furniture, jewelry, pet supplies, crafts and gifts to launch 100% Neighbor-Made.

Starting March 31, 100% Neighbor-Made products have had a presence in all Goodwill stores in Northern New England. Fifteen of them carry the full line of 100% Neighbor-Made merchandise:

Through this initiative, Goodwill is investing in the regional workforce through partnerships with manufacturers of high-quality, sustainable products – which align with our social, economic and environmental values. It’s a first step in Goodwill’s pursuit of reaching sustainability goals.
