"Female Founders Speaker Series” launches second event Feb 27

Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET) and Hotel Vermont are thrilled to announce that February’s “Design & Manufacturing” event will feature Corinne Prevot, founder of Skida, and Sascha Mayer and Christine Dodson, co-founders of Mamava. The event will be held Monday, February 27th, 5:30-7pm in beautiful Juniper Hall at Hotel Vermont, 41 Cherry Street in downtown Burlington, VT. All are welcome, but tickets are limited so interested parties are encouraged to act fast.

The cost of each event in the series is $15 per person, and 100% of proceeds benefit a local charity or nonprofit. February’s “Design & Manufacturing” event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington, which “works to save and change the lives of children and teens, especially those who need us most, by providing them with a safe, positive and engaging environment that prepares them to achieve GREAT FUTURES.”

On Monday, January 23rd, VCET and Hotel Vermont launched the series with “Wellness Working”. The sold-out event featured Sarah DeGray of Rev Indoor Cycling and Jovial King of Urban Moonshine. Thanks to RETN, the official media sponsor for the series, January’s event is still available for viewing. Last month’s “Wellness Working” event raised nearly $1,000 for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that empowers all athletes with disabilities year-round throughout the State of Vermont.
