Eight Essential Elements Wellness Workshop Offered

Brattleboro, VT – Brattleboro Memorial Hospital will offer a workshop titled “Eight Essential Elements: Wellness for Everyday Comfort” on Monday, June 15, 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the Brew Barry Conference Center.

In the two-hour workshop participants will learn to pay attention to everyday decisions, large and small, that affect one’s health. Workshop facilitator, Joan Bowman will introduce participants to practices focused on self-awareness and self-care, while integrating healthy snacks, exercise, and lively discussion of the Eight Essentials.

This workshop is being offered through Wellness in Windham, a community-centered initiative by Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, the Brattleboro Retreat and Grace Cottage Hospital, aimed at promoting health and wellness throughout Windham County, Vermont.

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital (BMH) has provided health care services for over a hundred years.  A licensed, 61-bed, not-for-profit community hospital located in southeastern Vermont, it serves a rural population of about 55,000 people in 22 towns in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.  The medical staff includes 137 board-certified physicians, both primary care and many specialists, and its 572 employees enjoy the help of over 110 active volunteers.
