Champlain College to Host Burlington, Vt. Open House for Adult Students

Learn More About our 50 Online Bachelor’s, Master’s and Certificate Programs Designed for Working Professionals, Plus Two On-campus Master’s Degrees in Emergent Media

Champlain College, recently named the “#1 Most Innovative School in the North” by US News and World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges,” continues to garner local respect and national recognition with a growing offering of career-focused degree programs for working adults. With over 50 online programs in the areas of Business, Education, Cybersecurity, Heath Care, Human Studies, Law and Technology and two campus-based Emergent Media master’s programs in Burlington, Vt., our adult-centered approach to learning helps working professionals balance work, study and life.

Through relevant, career-focused programs, students gain the essential knowledge and skills to succeed in today’s dynamic workplace. This approach, combined with Champlain’s strategic alliances with organizations across the country - most notably the Federal Government - has attracted working professionals from around the nation and resulted in nearly doubling our enrollment of adult learners to more than 2,500 students in just one year.

Now, we’re opening our doors to encourage local residents to learn why so many professional adults find value in our programs. This is an opportunity to discover how Champlain College can help them achieve greater personal and professional success. The Adult Student Open House will take place on Monday, March 21st from 4:30-7:30 in the Champlain College Miller Center at 175 Lakeside Avenue in Burlington, Vermont.

The open house will offer attendees the opportunity to:

·         Meet with Program Directors and Advisors to talk in-depth about our programs.

·         Discover what online learning looks like through a hands-on demonstration.

·         Speak with Financial Aid and Military & Veterans Services counselors to explore options for paying for school.

·         Visit with Career Services & Academic Tutoring teams to learn about services and support.

·         Bring children who will be treated to snacks and fun, supervised activities.

According to Dr. Laurie Quinn, Provost, “Our exponential growth can be attributed to our ability to respond quickly and effectively to both employer and working professionals’ needs.”  She explains, “Our partnerships with local and national employers allow us to develop programs that align with the most in-demand skills for today’s workforce, and our unyielding focus on quality means that students are guaranteed a dynamic and engaging experience in the classroom with skills that can be immediately applied in their workplace.”
