Learning from the Past, Planning for the Future

Tuesday, September 15   |   Capitol Plaza Hotel, Montpelier

Vermont is commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Vermont Workers' Compensation Act this year.  To celebrate a century of joint progress toward safer workplaces and collaboration between employees and employers, the Workers' Compensation Centennial Steering Committee has worked on a number of events and initiatives, including a special conference to be held on September 15 in Montpelier.  This conference will feature panels on the history of workers' compensation nationally and in Vermont, best practices and lessons for employers and workers in return to work and workplace safety, reviews of major reforms around the country, and proposals for improving workers' compensation in Vermont going forward.

Managers, workers, business and labor advocates, legal and insurance professionals, legislators and regulators, and any other Vermonters interested in workers' compensation are welcome to register to attend.

Registration is $50, due by September 10.  Please register using the form below.

Prospective attendees are encouraged to send us questions and suggestions for the presenters ahead of time.
