V4A and VASCAMP to host 2nd annual Aging in Vermont Conference
on Oct. 26 in Killington
Conference to feature former Vermont Governor Madeleine Kunin, and Sandy Markwood, CEO of the
National Association of Area Agencies on Aging
What: Vermont Association of Area Agencies on Aging (V4A) and Vermont Association of Senior Centers and Meal Providers (VASCAMP) will host the 2nd annual Aging in Vermont Conference on Friday, October 26 in Killington.
The conference will be highlighted by guest speaker and 77th Governor of Vermont, Madeleine Kunin, who will discuss her new book, “Coming of Age: My Journey to the Eighties,” as well as keynote speaker Sandy Markwood, CEO of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (N4A) and a number of other speakers, presentations and break-out sessions.
Who: The conference is designed for a range of professionals, volunteers and others interested in the topic of aging services. V4A and VASCAMP invite local and state media to attend, as well as interested local and state officials.
Why: The purpose of the conference is to promote healthy aging by providing older Vermonters and those working with or on behalf of older Vermonters with current trends, tools and tips. This is of particular importance given that Vermont is currently the second-oldest state in the country.
When: Friday, October 26, 2018. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. The conference will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
