The Vermont Arts Council is pleased to announce The Agile Nonprofit, a new workshop tailored to the needs of nonprofit organizations. The two-day course will help managers, directors, and board members hone their business and management skills in marketing, social media strategy, and organizational efficiency.
“The workshop will be interactive, with ample time for participants to practice concepts on their own organizations,” said Sarah Mutrux, artist and community programs manager. “We want participants to gain the tools they need to grow healthy, sustainable, effective organizations and to come away with action plans for implementation.”
After the workshop, participants will be encouraged to extend their learning through an active, year-round network. The aim of the network is to provide additional resources and support among participants as they work to test new skills and strengthen their organizations.
Instructors for the workshop are Cheryl Eaton of Wild Genius Marketing Group in Jericho, Claire Wheeler of Benchmarks for a Better Vermont in Brattleboro, and Debra Askanase of Community Organizer 2.0 in Boston, MA. Sarah Mutrux and Zon Eastes of the Vermont Arts Council will also facilitate a discussion on how network members can work together into the future.
The Agile Nonprofit will be held March 3 and 4 at Marlboro College in Brattleboro. For further information contact Sarah Mutrux, [email protected] or 802.828.5425. The deadline for registration isFebruary 19. Online registration is available at: http://www.vermontartscouncil.org/grants-and-services/organizations/the-agile-nonprofit
