Vermont State Police On the morning of January 3, Vermont State Police were notified of a single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 100 at the Killington/Pittsfield town line. Troopers along with the Killington Fire Department, Pittsfield Fire Department, and White River Valley Ambulance responded to the scene. Investigation showed that operator Barbara Cobb was traveling northbound on Vermont Route 100 and lost control of the vehicle due to the icy road conditions. On January 6, 2023, Troopers were notified by Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center that Cobb had succumbed to her injuries sustained in the crash.

Vermont State Police Shortly after 5 am Tuesday, members of the Vermont State Police Tactical Services Unit were able to take Michael McCuen into custody. There were no reports of significant injuries. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation. As of 5:30 am, Vermont Route 16 has re-opened.

By voting “no” Balint is opposing allowing the far-right to hold the Speaker hostage to their agenda, attempting to end Congressional staff unionization, reinstating rules to target civil servants, and giving Committee Chairs unprecedented power.
