The Chittenden Area Transportation Management Association (CATMA) has announced the repositioning of its team to lead the growth of the organization and the delivery of its turnkey transportation demand management programs. In early April, CATMA publicized its name change reflecting its expanded service area to businesses and developers in Chittenden County. “As our County experiences business growth and development, the need to better plan, coordinate and manage transportation and parking is a key aspect, which CATMA’s founding Hill institutions have been doing since 1992 with proven success”, says David Provost, Chair, CATMA Board of Directors and Senior Vice President, Champlain College.
He adds, “As CATMA expands in the County, it is important to have a motivated skilled team in place. Our team works hard, and is always seeking creative solutions, partnerships and programs to help employees and students get to work or campus in a better way.”
Katie Martin, who has provided invaluable service to CATMA for over five years, is now Manager, of Marketing and Programs. She oversees the daily management of an extensive, comprehensive suite of commuter programs, and the smooth and mindful transition of CATMA’s new identity and website, including an interactive online commuter rewards program. “The efficient operation of our tailored programs is essential to reducing single occupancy vehicles and promoting healthy lifestyles. Katie’s passion, industry knowledge and excellent communication techniques has also enabled our organization’s members to continue demonstrating positive mode trends,” says Sandy Thibault, CATMA’s Executive Director.
Brendan Atwood has been hired as CATMA’s Business Development Specialist.
“Brendan is a fantastic addition to the Team. He brings a diverse set of skills, smart growth expertise and a policy background that are instrumental to CATMA’s growth,” said Thibault. “He will play a significant role in the expansion of our business membership and the continued growth of our Employee Transportation Coordinator Network.”
Membership and the ETC Network offers County businesses the opportunity to collaborate on cost-effective transportation and parking solutions for the greater good of their worksite, community and region.
