HCRS believes that everyone should have the opportunity to live a life of dignity, respect, and value.
Since 1967, as the community mental health agency for southeastern Vermont, HCRS has been serving the Windsor and Windham county communities with comprehensive mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disability services. Our dedicated team of professional staff provide essential services and supports for those most in need.
HCRS not only helps to address the specific issues that bring an individual or family to our door, but also ensures that our clients have their basic needs met. This includes a roof over their head, a safe place to call home – not the street, a park bench, or a tent on the Connecticut River. This also involves helping clients to gain employment or other means of being able to put food on the table and warm clothes on their backs. It is essential that individuals and families have the security of these basic needs met in order to focus on recovery and living a successful life. Ensuring that these social factors are addressed, has also been shown to have an impact on an individual’s future health.
- 97% of clients report that HCRS services are making a difference in their lives
- HCRS is accredited by the Joint Commission
