Green Lantern Solar, a leading renewable energy development and construction company focusing on commercial-scale solar PV and energy storage systems, announced that David Carpenter has joined their team as General Counsel and Director of Development.
Carpenter’s two decades as an environmental and energy law attorney in Vermont, New York and Massachusetts adds valuable experience to Green Lantern’s development and acquisition business across the regulatory, transactional, policy and litigation spectrum. Carpenter has worked with both large public companies and private sector firms and holds a J.D and M.S.E.L from Vermont Law School and a B.S from Penn State.
Prior to joining Green Lantern Solar, Carpenter served as Associate General Counsel at Casella Waste Systems where he was the lead inside counsel on environmental and renewable energy matters. Carpenter is currently Co-Chair of Renewable Energy Vermont’s Legislative & Policy Committee and an active advocate for the renewable economy.
Green Lantern’s CEO and Principal Founder Luke Shullenberger said "We are very excited to have Dave join our team. He will be a real asset as we grow and take on more interesting and complex solar and storage projects in Vermont and other northeast markets."
