Casella Waste Systems promotes Drohan to VP, chief accounting officer

Casella Waste Systems, a regional solid waste, recycling and resource-management services company, announced the promotion of Kevin J Drohan to vice president of finance and chief accounting officer, effective April 1. As previously announced, Christopher B Heald recently retired as CAO after a 20-year career with the company.

Prior to his promotion, Drohan served for eight months as Casella's corporate controller. Before that, he was corporate controller at Sprague Resources, a publicly traded regional provider of industrial, commercial and residual energy products.

“Kevin has demonstrated strong integrity throughout his career and is highly regarded for his hard work, technical skills and commitment to developing and leading teams,” said Chairman and CEO John W Casella. “We are confident that his leadership style and career experiences will help him to successfully lead our accounting team and contribute to our continued success.”

Drohan holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of New Hampshire.
