DuBois & King consulting engineers announce Matthew Wilson has joined the firm as a Systems Administrator. Matt’s professional experience includes serving as IT Manager for the Woodstock Inn and Resort and as Assistant Network Administrator for the Randolph National Bank. Mr. Wilson resides in Bethel.

Ahmed Abdeen Hamed is a biomedical research scientist at Merck. Previously, he was an interdisciplinary computer scientist in the University of Vermont's Social-Ecological Gaming and Simulation Lab, where he built tools to help doctors, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies.

The University of Vermont College of Medicine has announced the winners of the 2016 Medical Alumni Association Awards to be presented during its annual Medical Alumni Reunion, Friday June 10, 2016, on the UVM College of Medicine campus.

Burr & Betsy Morse of Morse Farm in East Montpelier have been welcomed as Honorary Chairs of Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice’s Spring Campaign. In their letter to Friends of CVHHH, which was mailed to hundreds of members of the community at the end of May, Burr & Betsy note the importance of CVHHH’s work in promoting independence.

Norwich University continues its 2016 Todd Lecture Series with “Building Peace in a Fragile World,” a presentation by President of the United States Institute of Peace Nancy Lindborg, on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. in Plumley Armory.

The National Retail Federation announced that Congressman Peter Welch, D-Vt., is one of the retail advocate’s Legislator of the Year honorees. Sen. Tim Scott, R-South Carolina, was honored with the Legislator of the Year distinction in the Senate. The award was presented on Tuesday during the Retail Advocates Summit, NRF’s annual congressional fly-in.
